Description:

The site contains a stele that evokes the crash of two American F-100 Super Sabre fighters, belonging to the 81st Tactical Fighter Squadron on June 25, 1963.

From Plancher-Les-Mines (70), follow the D16 towards Ballon de Servance. At the pass (marker 1158), park in the small parking lot and walk east along the GR59. After about 2 km, shortly before the Col du Luthier, turn left onto the GR7. The crash zone is located on the border of several municipalities: Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle (88), Fresse-sur-Moselle (88), Plancher-les-Mines (70).
