Stahovica -WW2 Partisan Hospital Museum

The site includes two memorials, a plaque and a cenotaph remembering a gallant B-17 pilot who died in a Partisan hospital after the crash of his plane in 1944.

The site is located next to the “Bela” Partisan WW2 Hospital Museum (Partizanska bolnica Bela). The site is accessible by trial down from the Velika Planina cable car headed towards the Slap Orglice. The site is part of a walking trial system marked by red stars. The site is north of Žaga and about 50 kilometers north of the Capitol Ljubljana.
