The Elephant and Castle is an area around a major road junction in London, England, in the London Borough of Southwark. Pictured above is the Driscoll House which has operated as a hostel since 1913. The building is on the south side of New Kent Road, between the Bricklayers Arms flyover and Elephant and Castle station. Driscoll closed with the death of owner Terence Driscoll on 4 July who 2007 who bought the hostel in the 1950s. After a major refurbishment, the building reopened in August 2012 under the name Rest Up London. The building itself is still called Driscoll House.
