The site is located at the northern end of the Peak District National Park near the village of Holmfirth in the Holme Valley on a location know as Twizle Head Moss. The Peak District is an upland area in England at the southern end of the Pennines; Holme Valley is a large civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. The site is walking distance from the Holme Moss Car Park and can only be accessed on foot.
