The site is located near the Bassingbourn Barracks and is tucked away on National Trust land somewhat in the middle of nowhere and can be a little difficult to locate. The memorial is not signed from the road and there is only a small area for safe parking off the A1198 road. The crossing point is 1.2 miles (1.9 km) south of the A603/A1198 roundabout or 0.8 miles (1.3 km) north of the main entrance to Bassingbourn Barracks. The footpath to the memorial is on the right side of the road, opposite the emergency entrance gate to the Bassingbourn Barracks.
