General Orders No. 1, Headquarters 1st Division, Camp Zachary Taylor, Ky., January 1, 1920: The Division Commander cites the following officers and soldiers for gallantry in action and especially meritorious services: Milo R. Chaney, Private, Company B, 16th Infantry. By command of Major General Summerall: Stephen O. Fuqua, Colonel, General Staff, Chief of Staff. Official: R. E. Fraile, Lieutenant Colonel, A. G. D., Division Adjutant.
Record. Born July 30, 1894, Dover Hill; son of Oliver and Emma (Stackhouse) Chaney. Farmer, Frankfort. Enlisted May 11, 1917, Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Assigned to Company B, 16th Infantry. Private first class. Overseas June 14, 1917. Battles: Cantigny, Aisne-Marne. Died July 23, 1918, of wounds received in action, Soissons. Buried at Downs, Ill. End.
