When Angus Nicholson was born on October 3, 1894, in La Center, Washington, his father, Benjamin, was 28 and his mother, Mary, was 24. He had two sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company A, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 14, 1918 and is now buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, La Center, Clark County, Washington, USA.
