Charles H. Camp served as a Private First Class for the 10th Infantry Regiment during World War II. He died in August of 1944. Although he is currently buried in Tennessee, PFC Camp was initially buried at the temporary American cemetery at Villeneuve-sur-Auvers, France. Today, there is a memorial there commemorating Camp and the hundreds of other Americans who were buried there in 1944.
