Richard H. Albright, Sr. was born in 1912 in Maytown Pennsylvania. In July 1943, Albright enlisted in the Army. He served as a sergeant in the 179th Engineers during World War II. On August 23, 1944, SGT Albright was killed in action in France. He was initially buried in the temporary American Cemetery in Villeneuve-sur-Auvers. He is now buried in Maytown Union Cemetery.
