Thomas Harris was born on February 19, 1922 and was from Ventura County, California. Pilot of the P-51 Mustang Serial number 43-6653 that took off from station 373 in Leiston, Suffolk, UK, and crashed in an area called Le Rudlin, about 12 kms NE of Gerardmer, France. Cause of the crash was either a collision with another P-51 or shot down by German fighters. Harris survived and was taken prisoner to Stalag Luft III in Sagan-Silesia.
