George Edward Wade was born on April 20, 1913. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a former accountant for the Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company, Lieutenant Wade had been in the Navy sine 1942. George served in the 5th Engineer Special Brigade as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade) during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 8, 1944 at the age of 31 at Omaha beach on D-day and is now buried in Laurel IOOF Cemetery, Madisonville, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA.
