Born July 2, 1915 in Waukesha, WI. Attended the University of Wisconsin. Assignments include platoon leader in 501st PB, S-4 in 507th PIR, chief of training group at ABN Department at The Infantry School at Fort Benning, Ga., BN CO and Regimental XO and CO of the 325th AIR at Fort Bragg, N.C., Regimental XO and CO of the 511th PIR at Fort Campbell, Ky. Was wounded and captured during the Normandy Invasion. Later served in Korea. Also instructed ROTC at LSU.
