2nd Lt Joseph R. Rosar took off from Lesina, Italy in John Kormanicki’s plane, a P-51 Mustang 42-103445 on a bombing mission over Avignon-Pujaut. While strafing a train convoy, he hit a high tension wire, sending him smashing into a pylon and hit a house, killing him.
