Born 20 April 1919 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Reverend Grover C. Hodge (1892-1980) and Alma Simmons Hodge (1896-1995). Pilot of the B-26 "Times A Wastin" that crashed near Hebron, Labrador, Canada in December 1942. He bravely lead his crew in a survival effort that lasted for eight weeks. Eventually he and his crew succumbed to the element and their remains were found in April by Eskimos.
