When William Anthony "Pete" Neudecker was born on March 5, 1916, his father, William, was 37 and his mother, Anna, was 34. He married Coletta A. "Ted" Ukena on January 23, 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He survived the D-Day Normandy invasion. He was Killed in Action by a sniper while he was riding in a Jeep as a main gunner on March 6, 1945. He is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
