Philip Loria was the son of Lawrence Loria and Anna (Kolono) Loria. His siblings were Mary Loria and Thomas Joseph Loria. He entered the US Army 17 November 1942 at New York City, New York. At the time, he was residing in Queens, New York, had completed three years of high school, worked as a driver/chauffeurs, and was single with no dependents. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on April 16, 1945 and is now buried in Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Eijsden-Margraten Municipality, Limburg, Netherlands.
