When Emilien G. Livernois was born on January 4, 1924, in Maine, his father, Philippe, was 42 and his mother, Alice, was 42. He had five brothers and three sisters. Emilien served as a Private First Class, 26th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Cumberland County, Maine prior to the war. Emilien was "Killed In Action" in Germany during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart with One Oak Leaf Cluster.
