When Gorman A. Tibbles was born on September 20, 1918, in Ohio, his father, Gorman, was 24 and his mother, Florentina, was 26. He married on September 18, 1943. He had one child during his marriage. He enlisted in the Army on February 15, 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on April 14, 1945 and is now buried in Saint Mary Cemetery, Saint Bernard, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA.
