Elisha P. "Rusty" Rahilly, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen J. Rahilly, 261 West Street, was killed in action April 17 while serving with the 26th Infantry Division, First Division, First Army, in Germany.

PFC Rahilly, in service since Aug. 11, 1943, was trained at Camp Edwards where he was attached to the 132nd antiaircraft. He was graduated from cooks´and bakers´schools and had further antiaircraft training at Camp Haan and Camp Irwin, Cal. He was transferred to Camp Gruber, Okla., for a seven-week course and reported then to Fort Meade, Md., going overseas in March.

Educated in local schools, PFC Rahilly was employed by the Berkshire Restaurant as counterman before entering service. He was a communicant of St. Mark´s Church.

Survivors are his parents; two brothers, Pvt Francis S. at Camp Croft, S.C. and PFC Stephen J. Jr. serving with the 159th General Hospital in England; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Richard Daury and Mrs. Robert Danckert.
