When Anthony J. "Tony" Minnelli was born on July 28, 1916, in Ohio, his father, Nicholas, was 28 and his mother, Lucy, was 22. He had five brothers. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a a graduate of Hamilton Catholic High school in 1935. He enlisted in the Army on March 6, 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on March 3, 1945 and is now buried in Saint Stephen Cemetery, Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, USA.
