Anthony Paul “A.P.” Alvis was born on June 6, 1930, in Morgan County, Alabama. He was the son of Eddie Lee Alvis and Mary Jane Woodruff Alvis. He served in the Service Battery, 625th Field Artillery Battalion, 40th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during the Korean War.
PFC Alvis was Killed in Action on June 23, 1952, in South Korea. He is now buried in the New Hope North Baptist Church Cemetery, Falkville, Morgan County, Alabama, USA.
