Marcellous Allen was born on January 12, 1929, in Needham, Choctaw County, Alabama. He was the son of William Alfred Allen and Minnie Emma Powers Allen. He served in Company K, 3rd Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, as a Private during the Korean War.
Pvt Allen was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in Korea on September 30, 1951. He was presumed dead on February 15, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
