Ottis Frank Alford was born on July 3, 1931, in Falkville, Alabama. He was the son of Coy Alford and Jamie Holmes Alford. He entered service on July 8, 1952, and went to Korea on January 1, 1953. He served in Company A, 1st Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, as a Corporal during the Korean War. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on March 28, 1953, and returned to duty on April 23, 1953.
Cpl Alford was Killed in Action on May 23, 1953, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Cook Cemetery, Falkville, Morgan County, Alabama, USA.
