When Charles W. Foxx was born on June 15, 1914 in India, his father, Charles, was 39 and his mother, Lizzie, was 38. He married Isabel in April 1944 in Indiana. He enlisted in the Army on April 8, 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on April 16, 1945 and is now buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Indiana.
