When Ray H. Tedder was born in 1924 in Putnam, Florida, his father, John, was 36 and his mother, Evva, was 32. He had three brothers and five sisters. He enlisted in the Army on March 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on April 14, 1945 and is now buried in Mascotte Cemetery, Mascotte, Lake County, Florida, USA.
