When John J. Moskal was born in 1908 in Wisconsin, his father, Maciej, was 42 and his mother, Katherine, was 45. He had three brothers and three sisters. He entered the military service in Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in the 634th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He died on March 19, 1945 and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
