When Paul E. Mifflin was born on February 2, 1926, his father, Kenneth, was 25 and his mother, Emma, was 22. He had one brother and one sister. He enlisted in the Army on June 13, 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.
