When J. M. "Bud" Lindsey was born on August 16, 1915, in Weston, Texas, his father, John, was 33 and his mother, Ollie, was 31. He had three brothers and four sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Technician Fifth Grade in the 1st Reconnaissance Troop, 1st Infantry Division. He died on March 22, 1945 and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
