John Clarence Anderson, Jr. was born on October 31, 1924, in Lola, Allen County, Kansas. He was the son of John Clarence Anderson and Mary Diana Dennis Anderson.
John served in the HQ Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
