Clarence S. Humphries was born on August 17, 1889, in Toronto, Canada. He served in the 26th Aero Squadron during World War I. He died on March 6, 1919, in Issoudin, France, and is now buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA. Cpl Humpries was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
