Roger Campbell Goree was born on February 25, 1895, in Knox City, Texas. He was the son of Robert Campbell Goree and Mary F Rogers Goree.
Roger served in the Air Service during World War I. He died in Issoudun, France, on November 26, 1918, and is now buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA. 2Lt Goree was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
