Vincent J. Dushek was born on December 12, 1894. He was the son of Jan Dusek and Barbora Dusek.

Vincent served in the Aviation Signal Corps during World War I. He died of disease in Issoudun, France, on October 16, 1918, and is now buried in the Melnik Presbyterian Cemetery, Melnik, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, USA. 1Lt Dushek was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
