When Clyde Robert Anderson was born on November 7, 1919, in Cass, Minnesota, his father, Knute, was 33 and his mother, Anna, was 21. He had one brother and two sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on April 12, 1945 and is now buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA.
