Walter S. Liguzinski was born in November 1915 in Ohio. He was the son of Jacob Leo Liguzinski and Stella Adamczyk Liguzinski. He served in the US Air Corps as a Corporal during World War II. Walter died on November 10, 1944 in India and is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA. Cpl Liguzinski was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but his surname is inscribed as Liguzinaski.
