Stuart D. Todd was born on December 11, 1914. He was the son of Thomas J. Todd and Annie Bray Todd. He served in the 6th Ferrying Squadron as a Sergeant and Assistant Engineer of an aircraft during World War II. He died on October 23, 1943 at the age of 28 and is now buried in the Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Richmond City, Virginia, USA. Sgt Todd was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
