Glen A. Sneyd was born on June 13, 1919 in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, USA. He was the son of Luther Martin Sneyd and Maude Beulah Jones Smith. Corp. Sneyd left Adrian with the first Lenawee county draft call and trained until May 1944 when he went overseas. He was killed in action Jan. 19, 1945 in China on a B-25 Mitchell when the ship crashed in French Indo-China (Vietnam). He is now buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.

Cpl Sneyd was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
