Thurman W. Northington was born on July 17, 1908. He served in the 68th Air Service Group as a Master Sergeant during World War II. Thurman died on April 23, 1944 at the age of 35 and is now buried in the Union Cemetery, Bakersfield, Kern County, California, USA. He was a passenger of an aircraft at the time of his death. Msgt Northington was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
