Warren H. Butler, aged 23, was born on January 8, 1921. He served in the 396th AAF SV Squadron as a Sergeant. He died on January 25, 1944 at the age of 23 and is now buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA. Warren was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China. He was an aircraft passenger at the time of his death.
