Edward R. Buelna was born on November 23, 1922. He served in the 1328th Army Air Force Unit as a Private First Class and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Edward died on December 2, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China and ranked as a Corporal.
