Robert Arsene Goffart was born in 1896 in Charleroi, Belgium. He was naturalized as a US citizen in 1920. Robert served in the US Army during World War I. He died in Paris and was buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris in 1963 at the age of 67.
