William Henry Brooks was born on February 20, 1925 in New Hampshire. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company I, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 27, 1944 in France at the age of 19 and is now buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Eliot, York County, Maine, USA.
