Millard C. Bentley was born on October 14, 1918. He attended public school at Davis, Oklahoma and enlisted in October 1939. Millard served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on August 1, 1944 in France at the age of 25 and is now buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, Love County, Oklahoma, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Mons, Belgium but his name's middle initial is inscribed as O.
