William Nerlin Ramer was born on December 11, 1918. He was the son of William E. Ramer and Martha M. Riggleman Ramer. William served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on July 27, 1944 at the age of 25 and is now buried in Grandview Cemetery, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, USA.
