2nd Lieutenant Robert Leonard Miner, co-pilot of the B-17 Fortress G-75-BO - 42-38015, took off from station 138 in Snetterton Heath, Norfolk, for Romilly-sur-Seine. Above the town of Pisseleux, a mile from Villers-Cotterets, the bomber was shot down by Lt Willius Karl’s Fw190 fighter at 1043, on February 6th, 1944.
