Bruno J. Gawron was born on September 21, 1918 in Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Frank Gawron and Julia Gawron. Bruno served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in the 745th Tank Battalion. He was Killed in Action on September 21, 1944 in Aachen, Germany at the age of 26 and is now buried in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums, Justice, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
