Arthur H. Glase was born on April 28, 1921. During the family's residence in Selinsgrove, he attended the local public schools, and after his graduation was employed as a bricklayer and general craftsman. After his marriage, Glace and his bride went to housekeeping in the Attig home in the Jarrett's school house section of Monroe township, and then removed to Sunbury. Glace joined the Colors as an Infantryman April 28, 1944 as a selectee from Sunbury. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 18, 1944 at the age of 23 and is now buried in Witmers Evangelical Church Association Cemetery, Port Trevorton, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, USA.
