Robert J. Spencer was born on October 3, 1921. He was the son of Claude Glen Spencer and Edith Mae Anson Spencer. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 22 and is now buried in Richland Cemetery, Richland, Oswego County, New York, USA.
