James Felton Blair was born on August 1, 1922 in Cullman County, Alabama. He was the son of John Thomas Blair and Ora Lee Knox Blair. Before entering the military service, he was employed by C. Arnold and Son. James served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, Cullman, Cullman County, Alabama, USA.
