Raymond LePore was a 1941 graduate of Revere High where he was prominent in football and other sports. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Technician Fifth Grade in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France but his current burial place is unknown. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry monument in Omaha Beach, France and ranked as a Corporal.
