James Edward Strange, aged 21, was born on September 15, 1923. He was the son of James Mitchell Strange and Ella Louise Connelly Moody. He served in the 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on October 13, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Mount Arnon Baptist Church Cemetery, Allendale, Allendale County, South Carolina, USA.
